Ello is an Android app developed by Ello, PCB.

Ello first became available on 21 Jul 2016. It is estimated that Ello has been downloaded between 100000 and 500000 times from the Play Store.

Ello 2.0.5 requires the following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_SYSTEM_ALERT, shown on top of all other apps. Very few apps should use this permission; these windows are intended for system-level interaction with the user.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to write to external storage.
